The sweetest Part of Gwalior

Updated: Jun 28, 2023

If you love eating sweets. Gwalior has some wonderful options to try from. Gwalior trip is not complete if you have not eaten

1. Bhadura Sweets " Bundi ke laddu" . Its said that Deol's of Bollywood have a scheduled parcel from them. Once should also try to have kachoris here. Made from pure Ghee. You can take them as the best souvenir from the city of Tansen.

2. Gajak Gwalior Ki - Originating in a small district called Morena at the heart of Madhya Pradesh, Gajak is a popular, crispy and textured dessert made of sesame seeds (til) or peanuts and jaggery. The extent to which jaggery is cooked determines the softness/hardness of this sweet. It is good to keep one warm during winters. Some famous outlets are Daulat Ram Gupta Morena Gajak Bhandar and Mohini Gajak. One can have them from Maharaj Bada and outside Gwalior railway station too.

3. Faluda - The Local Ice-cream. Its one of the favorite of every Gwaliorite. The best place to enjoy the same is to go to Maharaj Bada or Chaupati near Phoolbagh. Its a mix of rose water, milk, ice cream and dry fruits. One can customize the same on the spot.
